History

Idealized by Mark Venturelli and Betu Souza (also creators of Chroma Squad, Dungeonland, and Galaxy of Pen and Paper), Relic Hunters Legend became a reality after the unexpected success of the first game of the series: Relic Hunters Zero. Relic Hunters Zero was a labor of love, made available in open source form, unconditionally free, and made on a game jam by Mark and Betu. And it reached 1.2 million players on Steam! After this super hype, they saw a great opportunity to continue the series and they want to give fans of the first game everything they’ve always wanted: online cooperative play, deeper RPG systems and customization, and a bigger focus on characters and story. Newcomers to the Relic Hunters series will also find a game that boasts a unique art style, delicious and fluid controls, an obsessive amount of attention to detail on the 3D combat design, and a touching story with an ensemble of characters that are easy to fall in love with. Relic Hunters Legend is the dream game of Mark and Betu and after a few months, more people joined them in this dream. The game was funded on Kickstarter with 110% success, this shows its potential and the trust that the community has in the developers from the very beginning. Now Rogue Snail - a fully remote company - is composed of 51 people that are focused mainly on the Relic Hunters franchise. Relic Hunters Legend is still in development.

Relic Hunters Legend tells the story of a mysterious time traveler, Seven, who has no memories and the strange ability to travel back and forth through time, and a ragtag band of Relic Hunters that join forces to defeat an evil villain who has stolen the past! In the fantastic sci-fi world of the Relic Hunters, the entire Galaxy is ruled by Duke Ducan and his Ducan troops. The evil Duke has somehow stolen the past and tells everyone that he is responsible for everything good that has ever happened - providing legitimacy to his oppressive regime. Led by Pinkyy and Jimmy, the Relic Hunters travel around the Galaxy looking for ancient ruins and Relics of the old civilization, trying to restore the memory of the true past.
